Tax evasion and tax transparency

In the fight against tax evasion and tax avoidance, the PES has been actively pursuing deeper coordination on taxation between Member States. The PES has been calling for an extension of the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) between EU tax administrations as part of the intensified fight against tax evasion and tax havens.

In a move to improve the situation and to build a fairer taxation system, the PES has been developing efforts to increase transparency on tax rulings and to have a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB).

We will continue to be at the forefront of the fight against tax evasion and fraud. Our aim is to tackle the issue of aggressive tax planning and closing down tax havens.
